L’exposition Living Room de l’artiste genevoise d’origine russe Daria Reverdin (née en 1988) présente des dessins réalisés à différentes périodes au moyen de techniques mixtes. Elle explore l’espace psychique personnel ainsi que l’espace vital intime de notre quotidien.
Qu’est-ce qu’un living room ?
Un espace de tes pensées, un atelier créatif, un lieu de repos et de méditation, une intimité à demi ouverte.
Où suis-je, et où est la ville ? La ville s’invite par la fenêtre entrouverte, fait frissonner les rideaux.
Tu es ici et ailleurs, dedans et dehors, heureux et malheureux à la fois, comblé et vidé.
Au fond, tout n’est peut-être qu’un écran de télévision, une blague d’un dieu désœuvré, une scène d’une pièce provinciale.
Tu t’assois sur le canapé, tu fermes les yeux, et tu écoutes… ce qui résonne là-dedans.
Daria Reverdin est historienne de l’art (Université de Moscou), artiste indépendante (atelier d’Andrey Volkov), psychologue (Université de Genève) et enseignante de théâtre corporel pour enfants (théâtre BELOE). L’univers artistique de Daria mêle pop art, surréalisme, postimpressionnisme et primitivisme. Genève, réelle et imaginaire, devient souvent sa source d’inspiration.

The exhibition Living Room by the Geneva-based artist of Russian origin, Daria Reverdin (born 1988), presents drawings created at different periods using mixed techniques. She explores both the personal psychic space and the intimate living space of our everyday life.
What is a living room?
A space for your thoughts, a creative studio, a place for rest and meditation, an intimacy half-open.
Where am I, and where is the city?
The city enters through the half-open window, makes the curtains shiver.
You are here and elsewhere, inside and outside, happy and unhappy at the same time, fulfilled and emptied.
In the end, perhaps it is nothing more than a television screen, a joke by an idle god, a scene from a provincial play.
You sit on the sofa, close your eyes, and listen… to what resonates within.
Daria Reverdin is an art historian (Moscow University), an independent artist (studio of Andrey Volkov), a psychologist (University of Geneva), and a teacher of physical theater for children (Théâtre BELOE). Her artistic universe intertwines pop art, surrealism, post-impressionism, and primitivism. Geneva, both real and imaginary, often becomes her source of inspiration.
